How to derive 1.226 cft or cubic feet in 1 bag of cement

Construction Software

This construction video tutorial shows the detailed guidelines on how to derive 1.226 cft or cubic feet in one bag of cement.

We know, the density of cement is 1440 Kg/m3

From this density, we can learn that In 1440 kg, 1m3 cement is essential.

It is known that the weight of 1 bag of cement is 50 kg.

In order to convert 1440 kg into bags, the following formula will be applied :-

It is known that 1 bag of cement = 50 kg.
Therefore, for 1m3, necessary cement will be 1440/50 = 28.8 bags. It is taken as equation (i)
It is also known that in 1m3 there is 35.3147 cft or cubic feet. It is taken as equation (ii)

From both the above equations, we obtain the following :-
28.8 bags = 35.3147

Therefore, 1 bag is similar to the following :-
35.3147/28.8 = 1.226 cft
