Sketchup 2014 released with new some advanced features

Trimble has added a new wing to its sketchup series by introducing sketchup 2014. Sketchup 2014 is available in ten languages. There will be some significant enhancements with 3d warehouse and layout.

The 3d warehouse is totally revamped with unlimited scrolling, bigger thumbnails, positioning models and collections in nested collections, improved statistics on the models, incorporated WebGL viewer.

Now with LayOut, the users will be able to apply GPU to enhance vector rendering. Now only the current page will be reloaded if any changes occur in active layer.

The most significant improvement is the introduction of Ruby 2.0 which will create more opportunities for having new plugins as well as extensions for areas of sketchup.

There will be a new feature known as classifier which will improve your model involving significant metadata and make its compatibility better with other BIM tools. The updated classifier tool will tag geometry through industry standard object types like walls, slabs, roofs, and lots more.

Other crucial enhancements are IFC Export, New Arc tools, quicker Shadows in large models, Auto-Text, Smart labels, superior vector rendering, snappier performance in long documents.
