ADC Sketchup – Useful for set design

Jack S is the developer of ADC sketchup, a useful sketchup extension. ADC sketchup consists of handy components and templates which can be used for set design at the ADC Theatre, Cambridge. This sketchup extension supports SketchUp 2014, SketchUp 2015.

It assigns a toolbar to Sketchup for placing stock set items at the ADC Theatre, together with a complete theatre model, wooden frames ranging from custom flats to deck, stock treads, handrail and metrodeck. Just set up and apply toolbar buttons to assign components into your model. Toolbar buttons contains the following :

  • Add ADC - Adds ADC Theatre model as well as 5 camera scenes towards customary audience seating positions.
  • Frame - Inserts wooden frame dynamic component, which are resizable to any dimensions, any profile of timber, with various additional internal braces, and any thickness of top and/or bottom facing.
  • Metrodeck - adds dynamic deck component that is customizable to any height and size.
  • Treads – It refers to a dialog for adding stock ADC treads from 2' - 7' including or excluding stock handrail.

  • Handrail - Adds any size of stock handrail providing the choice to create angle at 45 degrees.
  • Stripwood - Adds dynamic component for straight timber customizable to any profile and length, and is mitered on either end or both to any angle in any orientation automatically.
  • Sheetwood - dynamic sheetwood component that is easily adjusted to any size/thickness.
  • 3 rotate buttons - rotate present selection with 90 degrees per click concerning chosen axis (red, green, blue)
